Become a VCDX3

1.Obtain VCP certification & complete VCDX Qualification Review

The VMware Certified Professional on Virtual Infrastructure 3 (VCP3) or the VMware Certified Professional on vSphere 4 (VCP4) is a prerequisite to the VCDX certification. The next step in the process is to complete the VMware VCDX Qualification Review. Qualified candidates will be provided a pre-authorization code for the VMware Enterprise Edministration on VI3 Exam. [Note: We are no longer accepting new candidate for the VCDX3 program.]

2.Pass Enteprise Administration Exam

The exam objectives are outlined in the VMware Enterprise Administration on VI3 Exam Blueprint. For practice, a VMware Enterprise Administration on VI3 Mock Exam has been provided. For registration assistance contact vcdx@vmware.com.

3.Pass Design Exam

The exam objectives are outlined in the VMware Design on VI3 Exam Blueprint.
4.Submit, Present & Defend your Design and Implementation Plan
The final step in becoming a VMware Certified Design Expert is the VCDX Defense. In this step you will need to successfully complete an interview, project review, and design defense activity. The VCP3 (or VCP4) certification, the VMware Enterprise Administration on VI3 Exam pass, and the VMware Design on VI3 Exam pass are all pre-requisites to the VCDX Application. Applications will not be accepted unless all pre-requsites have been met.


VCDX Defense

Defense interviews will be held during the following days:

•July 5-9, Melbourne, Australia (Application Deadline: May 18, 5:00 PM Pacific Time)
•August 23-27, San Francisco, CA (Application Deadline: June 21, 5:00 PM Pacific Time)
•October 11-15, Copenhagen, Denmark (Application Deadline: August 2, 5:00 PM Pacific Time)
•November 1-5, Cambridge, MA (Application Deadline: Aug 30, 5:00 PM Pacific Time)
•February 7-11, Orlando, FL (Application Deadline: Nov 22, 5:00 PM Pacific Time)
