For individuals who have in-depth knowledge of Xsan architecture, including an ability to install and configure systems, architect and maintain networks, customize and troubleshoot services, and integrate Mac OS X, Final Cut Server, and other Apple technologies within an Xsan installation. ACMA certification is for system administrators and technicians working for resellers, post houses, studios or other large facilities.

Apple ACMA Certifications:

  1. Apple Certified Support Professional 10.6 update course – The preparation course for students looking to update their ACSP certification to version 10.6.
  2. Mac OS X Server Essentials v10.6 – A four day hands-on training about implementing and maintaining Mac OS X Server.
  3. Mac OS X Directory Services v10.6 – This course focuses on both Mac OS X as a directory service client, and Mac OS X Server as a directory server.
  4. Mac OS X Deployment v10.6 – This course focuses on solutions for deploying software, ranging from the installation of individual files to the deployment of complete system images to multiple computers.
  5. Mac OS X Security and Mobility v10.6 – Teaches the skills to configure Mac OS X Server to provide network services for devices such as the iPhone to access private networks.

Apple’s Xsan and Media Administration certifications verify your ability to install and configure systems, architect and maintain networks, customize and troubleshoot services, and integrate Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Server, and other Mac OS X technologies within an Xsan installation of any size.

Xsan Administrator certification verifies your comprehensive knowledge of Apple’s SAN file system for Mac OS X. An Xsan Administrator is responsible for the life cycle of Xsan, including installation, deployment, infrastructure. To earn Xsan Administrator certification, students must pass one required exam, as shown in the table below.

Apple Certified Media Administrator (ACMA) certification verifies in-depth knowledge of Xsan architecture, including an ability to install and configure systems, architect and maintain networks, customize and troubleshoot services, and integrate Mac OS X, Final Cut Server, and other Apple technologies within an Xsan installation. ACMA certification is for system administrators and technicians working for resellers, post houses, studios or other large facilities. To earn ACMA status, students must pass three required exams and one elective exam as outlined in the table below.

Pro Applications Level One and Level Two Certifications

Apple’s professional digital applications are the standard for professional photographers, filmmakers, editors, sound designers, music producers, and multimedia artists. Certifications are available for all applications, including Aperture, Color, DVD Studio Pro, Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Server, Logic Pro, Motion, and Soundtrack Pro.

Apple Certified Pro – Level One attests to basic operational knowledge of an application. Level One exams are administered at the end of specific courses. If you prefer to learn on your own or believe you already have the required knowledge, you may take the exam at an Apple Authorized Training Center (AATC) for a fee.

Apple Certified Pro – Level Two attests to a deeper understanding of the application. Level Two exams can be taken only after Level One certification is earned.

Many Apple Certification exams are available in other languages, such as Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish. Even if an AATC does not offer localized courses, they can still offer localized exams..

Apple offers both end user and trainer versions of the Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio Master certifications. Master Certification recognizes your skills with the entire product suite.
