Successful candidates demonstrate thorough understanding of Internet technology in general and Juniper Networks E-series platforms and operating system in particular.

JNCIA-E Exam Information:

Designed for experienced networking professionals with beginner to intermediate knowledge of the Juniper Networks E-series platforms, this written exam verifies the candidate’s basic understanding of Internet technology and related platform configuration and troubleshooting skills. JNCIA-E exam topics are based on the content of the Introduction to Juniper Networks Routers–E-series and E-series B-RAS Configuration Basics instructor-led training courses. This exam is NOT a prerequisite for the JNCIS-E exam.

Juniper Networks Junos Associate (JNCIA-Junos) . The Junos Associate exam is designed for experienced networking professionals with beginner-intermediate knowledge of the Juniper Networks Junos OS, networking fundamentals and basic internet routing.

EXAM UPDATE: ANNOUNCEMENT: Effective October 29, 2010, the JN0-100 exam is retired and is replaced by the JN0-101 exam. The JN0-101 exam includes a refresh of existing questions and has removed the questions that refer to the contents of the Junos Troubleshooting Platforms course that was EOL effective September 30, 2010.

NOTE: The JNCIA-Junos is a required prerequisite for the JNCIS-SEC, JNCIS-ENT, and JNCIS-SP certification credentials. The following credentials are acceptable substitutes for the JNCIA-Junos requirement: JNCIA/S-ER, JNCIA/S-M or the JNCIA-EX.

The Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) verifies your basic understanding of Internet technology and related platform configuration and troubleshooting skills. For some tracks, passing the JNCIA exam is a requirement for attempting the JNCIS-level written exams. Consult each track for specific pre-requisite exam requirements.

Certification summary:

Entry level certification for individuals with beginner-intermediate knowledge of the Juniper Networks products and platforms. Numerous specialities to choose from.

Initial requirements:

You must pass the JNCIA exam for your chosen track. Choose from: Enterprise Routing, Enterprise Switching, Firewall/VPN, Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP), SSL, WAN Acceleration (WX or DX), and Unified Access Control. Exams are $100 each. Training is available but not required.
