The Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional E-series (JNCIP-E) certification track is a multitiered program that allows participants to demonstrate, through a combination of written proficiency exams and hands-on configuration and troubleshooting exams, competence with specific Juniper Networks technology. Successful candidates demonstrate thorough understanding of Internet technology in general and Juniper Networks E-series platforms and operating system in particular.

JNCIP-certified individuals receive special access to certified JTAC engineers on priority 1 and 2 cases for any product under an active support contract. This enhanced access is only available for products in that area of certification. With this privilege, you expedite your case resolution time by making the most of your certification knowledge while gaining quicker access to senior JTAC engineers.

JNCIP-E Exam Information:

Designed for experienced networking professionals with beginner to intermediate knowledge of the Juniper Networks E-series platforms, this written exam verifies the candidate’s basic understanding of Internet technology and related platform configuration and troubleshooting skills. JNCIA-E exam topics are based on the content of the Introduction to Juniper Networks Routers–E-series and E-series B-RAS Configuration Basics instructor-led training courses. This exam is NOT a prerequisite for the JNCIS-E exam.

The JNCIA-E certification is valid for two years. Recertification is achieved by passing the current version of the JNCIA-E exam.

Exam topics include:

System operation, configuration and troubleshooting, E-series virtual routers, BRAS, routed & bridged 1483, PPP over ATM, PPP over Ethernet, dynamic configuration mode, L2TP, policy management.

JNCIP-SEC Exam Information:

Designed for experienced networking professionals with advanced knowledge of the Juniper Networks Junos software for SRX Series devices, this written exam verifies the candidate’s understanding of advanced security technologies and related platform configuration and troubleshooting skills.

JNCIP-SEC exam topics are based on the content of the recommended instructor led training courses, as well as the additional resources.

JNCIP-SEC certification is valid for two years. Recertification is achieved by passing the current version of the JNCIP-SEC exam or by passing the JNCIE-SEC exam.

The Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional Service Provider (JNCIP-SP) track allows participants to demonstrate competence with Juniper Networks technology. Successful candidates demonstrate thorough understanding of Internet technology in general and Juniper Networks service provider routing and switching platforms.

JNCIP-SP Exam Information:

Practice Test: To assess your skill level and to identify gaps in your knowledge, take this free practice exam. This practice exam can be taken as many times as you like until you are comfortable with the material.

Designed for experienced networking professionals with beginner to intermediate knowledge of routing and switching implementations in Junos. This written exam verifies the candidate’s basic understanding of routing and switching technologies and related platform configuration and troubleshooting skills.

JN0-360 (JNCIS-SP) exam topics are based on the content of the Junos Intermediate Routing and the Junos Service Provider Switching instructor-led training courses. Topics are also based on parts of the Junos MPLS and VPNs instructor-led course. The JN0-101 exam (JNCIA-Junos) is a prerequisite to the JN0-360 exam.

The JNCIS-SP certification is valid for two years. Recertification is achieved by passing the current version of the JN0-360 exam.

The Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP)  validates your ability to configure and troubleshoot common networking scenarios. The exams are written and are a comprehensive validation of the candidate’s skills as they test on a broad range of theoretical and Junos topics. Passing the JNCIP exam is a requirement for attempting the JNCIE-level lab exam.

Initial requirements:

Choose from M-series Router & T-series Routing Platforms (JNCIA) and ERX Edge Routers (JNCIA) tracks. You must first hold a JNCIS certification for your chosen track and pass an 8 hour hands-on exam at a Juniper Networks facility ($1400). Training is available but not required.
